Router disconnects/restarts

I have problem that is driving me nuts. I have a at&t dsl wireless router that will knock all computer off line when a certain laptop connects to it, even the the computers physically plugged into it. The I don't know if the whole router just decides to restart itself or what. I thought it was an IP conflict but after assigning all computers their own IP address on the router the problem is still there. Does anyone know what could cause this problem? I'm about ready to throw the thing out and get a new one.

Personally i would just get a new one. If it came with your ATT dsl, it's more than likely not really top quality and you'll notice more functionality and/or better performance by buying your own. Plus, they're relatively cheap now adays.

+1 to new router. how old is it? See if AT&T will give you one if you're too cheap to buy a decent one
