Reformatted Vaio/Dell monitor help

Hi guys,

I have just reinstalled XP onto my PCG-7M1M vaio.

When I plus in my 24" Dell it doesn't stretch the image correctly from my laptop.

If anyone has any suggestions that'd be amazing.

I guess I need a driver for the video card but I don't know where to begin.

Thanks.

Re: Reformatted Vaio/Dell monitor help

Go here: http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/sel...IRECTOR=DRIVER and use Option 1, enter PCG-7M1M, Continue.

The second screen will ask you about your model number (check the box or the tags on the bottom), Go to model page.

Then download and install the Video driver for your model. It is probably an Intel driver.

Re: Reformatted Vaio/Dell monitor help

Try the US first, then Canada. The key is to get to that 2nd page where all the model choices are listed (VGNFS920, or VGNFS940, ..... etc). Let me know if you can not get to the page with all your drivers. The Sony site is not as helpfull as the Dell where you can just type in your Serrial Number.
