Hello, noob with networking so i dont exactly know how to google my problem.

Ive been using ad hoc connection so that one laptop has 4g internet stick and shares that with another.

Now i want to use 3 laptops like that and the laptops own wifi hardware is not enough for the distance i want to have them at.

However i have a wifi router in the corner and im guessing i can use that so i put the cable from router to the laptop with 4g stick and then create a network (how?) so the other two laptops connect to the router.

Thank you

You have to buy a 4G router that supports SIM or a router that supports 4G stick and then share the internet via wifi.

For example:

Huawei B593
Huawei E5186

If you're using windows you can connect the 4g stick into one laptop and then have that laptop broadcast a wifi signal that your other laptops/devices can connect to.

This method worked for me: http://lifehacker.com/5369381/turn-y...reless-hotspot

There might be other links with better instructions.

This is exactly what the OP is talking about when he says he creates an ad-hoc network, but the range is not big enough.
