poker laptop (playing and studying with Pio solver)

Hi

i currently use a macbook pro for playing and have no complains but i want to move over to PC to use PIO solver ( i use it now in parallel but it makes my computer a bit slower) and just basically do all my playing plus use my PT, flopzilla, etc on it and keep my Mac for personal use only

The issue is that i have no idea of what i should be looking for, if you guys can give me some recommendations of what can i buy or what i should be looking for i would really appreciated it.

My budget is up to 2k so I'm fairly sure i should be able to buy something that works fast and reliable

also your budget is 2k, specify what that is. 2k pounds will get you a lot more than 2k worthless murican dollars

i did read the forum but couldn't find what i was looking for so i though asking would be the best idea and maybe someone could have helped me... i did get couple of private messages that offered help so it did help to post my question mr forum captain but thanks for the "help"

2 months gone by since this post and I see one other post asking for buying a poker laptop...

Yet every post asked gets the same reply of "search, this gets asked all the time"...

It's probably been years since there's been a decent answer instead of just "search u lazy n00b!"

Edit: This thread is a perfect example of the above... also "2K budget". Pounds? Euros? Dollars? it makes a difference.

What people don't grasp is that a mid-price PC is overpowered for about 99% of people's poker requirements these days.

Look for an ultralaptop like the Dell XPS 13 or a Lenova Yoga.

I'm in the market for a new laptop too with a similar budget.

At the moment I am looking at either the Asus Zenbook/Dell XPS 15/Samsung 9 - partly using them for poker; want a 15" and also decent battery life would be great (6hrs+).

Never used a 4k screen before; and not sure how much better it would actually be for playing poker on the laptop - anyone have any advice on that?

4k screen only make sense if you have the monitor real estate which with a laptop you don't
