PC to Sony TV, Pixelation issues

So I built a HTPC to watch movies with and have used it on our family's tv with, connecting HDMI to HDMI with no issues.

Recently I moved out and took this HTPC with me and have been trying to connect it to the new TV at my house. The PC and TV connect fine using an HDMI cable, but the image on the TV is pixelated and grainy. I tried several resolutions and even updated the nvidia graphics card but the picture is still pretty bad.

Here is the tv:

The preferred resolution is like 13xx by 7xx. If I raise it higher then this, the hertz setting will slowly decrease. At max resolution of 19xx by 16xx the hertz is at like 29 or something.

Anyone have any how I can get a pixelated picture?

Re: PC to Sony TV, Pixelation issues

Can you share some more info on the HTPC? What graphics card are you using? Since it is a 720p the best resolution you can get is probably 1366x768. To get 1920x1600 you'd need a 1080p TV.

You can also try adjusting the scaling settings in the NVidia control panel under Display there should be an adjust desktop size and position and can change or adjust the scaling mode from there.

Just run your graphics card at 720p and down/upscale everything to that resolution. What are you using? WMC/XBMC/?
