More Facebook problems

Windows Vista Home, Google Chrome browser.

Facebook home page is fine, but after logging in, all my personal pages (wall, friends etc) stay blank.

Tried clearing cookies, cache, clearing all browsing history etc., restarted Chrome and Windows. Same ****. Help please?? thank you.

Re: More Facebook problems

can you post a screen shot or give a better description of what you mean by blank? do you have any blocking add-ons for ads or flash objects, etc?

Re: More Facebook problems

This is what I see after I log in.

Pretty sure there are no blockers for add-ons or flash. Facebook used to work just fine, lately hasn't been loading my pages.

Re: More Facebook problems

Bump.

Facebook still isn't working. I'm sure it's something simple to a tech nerd out there. Thanks!

Before anything else you have to try a different browser.

Re: More Facebook problems

It works just fine in both Firefox and Internet Explorer. I'm really perplexed, and I'm sure it's something very easy for a 2+2 computer nerd to figure out.

Re: More Facebook problems

It's probably a pop-up blocker or something. I'd Google around for the answers, just took a quick look and a lot of people seem to be having the issue on chrome

Re: More Facebook problems

I did of course, before posting here for help. None of the advice that worked for others worked for me.

Re: More Facebook problems

I googled and found these two suggestions, did you try:
Go to Tools and Internet Options. Click on Compatibility View and add Facebook.com. Also tick bottom box "Display all websites".
or...
Go to your HOSTS file and see if you see the following entry:

127.0.0.1 www.facebook.com

If so, delete it and save.

Does the first part of your solution refer to IE? I am using Chrome, and don't see the Compatibility View you refer to.

As for the second part, I opened the Hosts file, and nothing about Facebook is in there.
