The "RUN" for a file with FireFox

I have another FireFox question guys. With IE as you know when you go to download a file in the box that comes up you get the option to save the file or to run it. In FireFox you only get the save option. I found an add-on called "open download" that adds the run option to the down load box, but I want to know if this is the best thing to do or is there another way or better way of getting that run option. Thanks.

There isn't an option to run directly in Firefox. All it is doing is saving the file to the temp folder and then opening it. You can open a file you downloaded by double clicking it in the download history.
