I'm having this weird issue with my LG monitor (L246WP). A few days ago, my monitor's brightness seemed off, so I messed around and used the calibration tool in Windows 10. Everything seemed to be fine until I noticed that images looked like they were in 8-bit color. Faces and skin especially look bad since they looked washed out/oversaturated.
I figured maybe it was my HDMI cable. Checked the cable with my TV and no problems. Then I thought maybe something with my HDMI port, and that was fine. I reset my monitor, and that obviously didn't help. My secondary monitor is displaying perfectly fine.
I did also run ClearType calibration when I was adjusting my monitor (don't ever do this unless you want your text to look worse), but I can't see how that would have any effect.
So is my monitor shot or is this a bizarre problem that can fixed somehow?
