Microsoft framework/HD problems - reinstall windows error

I have a fairly new Asus G47x laptop, with an upgraded SSD installed.

Computer + Hem2 worked fine until some windows update, now my microsoft framework thing crashes constantly. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it around 5 times with no change.

Someone said it might be a corrupted registry and I need to reinstall windows. Well when I try and do that with my disks, I get some error forget it now but its like x000008 something, when I googled the error I did not find much help.

So I need to reinstall windows somehow. Do I need to buy a new version of windows? Is there a way to work around boot errors?

FWIW I live in mexico atm, and doubt I can find a computer tech in my town. So will need to do this myself.

Re: Microsoft framework/HD problems - reinstall windows error

have done a ton of things since making this thread. registry clean up. more reinstalls. microsoft fix it.

Nothing is working.

I have the discs for windows too, which makes it more annoying, but when I try and use them I get that error.

I guess just a new question, if I buy a new version of windows will this fix the issue?

Re: Microsoft framework/HD problems - reinstall windows error

Start from the beginning:

Have you set up your PC boot order to the DVD drive (in BIOS)? If you can't even do a fresh install that way, there are likely issues with the hardware. You should not have to buy a new version of Windows and that wouldn't help anyway.

If you need to get into BIOS and haven't done it, you basically just tap the hell out of the delete button as you boot up (or sometimes F12). Check to make sure it's set to ACHI and not IDE mode. From there find the boot order, set top priority to DVD drive, save & exit.

Put in Windows disk and when prompted, hit a key to boot from disk. You would erase the existing partition permanently and reinstall new. If all is well it should boot up and start loading. If not, it's time to figure out whether your new SSD is bad or whether the computer is.

What SSD is it btw?
