Laptop to TV ? Laptop to TV ?

My laptop has 15inch screen, when playing i can only play around 4 tables at a time due to the size befor i risk mireading a hand or misclicking if i have it cascaded.

I noticed my laptop has a HDMI port on the side of it, can i just run a cable from laptop to TV and then use my TV as a monitor? I admit i have fallen way behind the times in technology so if this is ******ed dont hold it against me.

And i dont really want to just try it because it would require taking a large and kind of heavy TV off the wall, moving a buch of stuff, and unhooking cable etc. Thanks.

if its a 1080P HDTV then yes you can plug it in and switch to the correct input on the TV and you're good to go.

You won't be able to fit too many tables on it, however, as the resolution is only 1920 x 1080 (the standard resolution for a 24" desktop monitor). So you're probably looking at around 6 tables, depending on how far away you're sitting. Also depending on how far away you sit, you're gonna have to mess around with your card styles and font sizes in order to be able to read the numbers and words on the tables. I'm assuming because the TV is wall mounted that its pretty big, so you're gonna have to kinda sit far away in order to play. Some people don't mind it, but its personal preference.

Try it out first, but IMO if you want more screen real-estate just buy an external 24"-28" monitor and call it good.
