Looking to get a all dell set up and have been recommended these from friends for monitor:

But no one has any advice for me on what DELL tower and what upgrades/spec’s I should get, im looking to spend £500- £800, I need this thing to be super super fast, pc is solely for the pokerz.

Man I no jack about computers and I need a good one bad, so many thanks to people that help me.

OP, I assume your price excludes the screens. Pretty much anything will be decent for you if you're just using it for poker.

I guess you could go for as fast a processor and as much RAM as will fit your budget.

For the new Nehalem processors you might want to look at the Studio XPS line, but I would think most of the Studios, Inspirons, XPS or Vostros will be ok. You might want to consider something like a fast (10,000 rpm or solid state) secondary hard drive for your database - although I don't think these are options on the cheaper Dells in the UK.

You will probably need a video card that supports dual-link DVI-D (it's probably best to call Dell to check whether the card on the machine you choose has this, as it will vary depending on the manufacturer of the card - by which I don't mean nVidia or ATI - they make the chips - but the card itself).

Other than that, though, just search all the threads here. This subject comes up all the time, so you can get an idea of what other people are choosing, and the issues that are raised.
