And your 888 software isn't working either?

You might have a corrupted hard disk, or some kind of virus/spyware.

Make back-ups of your notes files if you can find them, then uninstall both apps with Control Panel, then re-download the software from the official sites and see if that fixes it.
Also use Windows Update to make sure your drivers are all up to date.
