It would probably help if you told us how much tax is in Canadialand.

Aside from that, I'm not sure quite what you're expecting in terms of responses. Looking at the prices you could cut back on the processor, on the RAM, or on the case.

I'm not really sure why you'd need a great big Antec 1100 for that build, for starters. Do you need a case that will accommodate 3 or 4 GPUs when you're relying on integrated graphics?

If you do downgrade, though, make sure whatever you get has enough cooling for your needs, given you're not selecting any aftermarket cooling.

thanks Thunderbolt...im ok with the price i would even go higher if i needed to...i just dont want to spend money i dont need to.....i agree with you on the case and memory...i could go to 8gb of ram and a smaller case...in regards to a cheaper cpu i thought this cpu was pretty standard for these builds...thanks for your suggestions

He'd be better off upgrading the i5 3xxx to an i7 3xxx than to an i5 4xxx TBH.
Power consumption is the most noticeable upgrade on the Haswells (ofc there are other changes, but not as noticeable, and won't really make a noticeable difference for his use, specially on a quad core).

If price isn't a deal-breaker then I would stick to the 16Gb if I were you. Definitely scope to save on the case, though.
