Hey there, I need some help with buying a new monitor, how much of a difference is between a 24 inch monitor that is 1920x1200 instead of 1920x1080 when tiling the tables? It would be perfect to tile 9 tables without overlapping (6 tiled tables on a classic 1920x1080 24 inch was just perfect). Do I need a bigger monitor with higher res to keep the tables big enough?

Thanks!

You aren't fitting 3 more tables into the gained real estate without marked overlapping or making the tables much smaller.

Its not the size of the monitor, its the resolution. A newer 24" is going to be capable of much higher resolutions and that's what you're going to have to go to.

Thanks for answer. So what size and resolution do I need to have 9 or 12 tables tiled and still big?

do the math. How big are the tables, and how big a monitor do you need to fit 9 or 12 of them at whatever that size is without overlap.

PokerStars and FullTilt tables were built to tile 2x2 800x560 tables perfectly on 1600x1200 (standard at the time) with space for taskbar at bottom.

At 800/560 aspect ratio, to get 3x3 grid to fill horizonally without overlap, you need 1344 pixels. If you want to do 4x3 for 12 tables, you're looking at 60% scaling and you only need 1008 to stack 3 high.

What the 1920x1200 can do for you is to allow you to tile 3x3 with less scaling (down to about 70%. 1080 requires scaling down to about 64%).

The math won't change much. It will be awkward to stack in a square and there isn't much of a difference between 16:10 and 16:9 aspect ratios for tiling purposes. 21:9 ultrawides however could work extremely well for you for an 4x2 tile but I've never done that personally.

Hey thanks a lot for help. What about a 27inch 2560 x 1440 monitors? Size of 1 table im currently using is 640x507 so 12 tables would fit well on that monitor (640 x 4 = 2560 and 507 x 3 = 1521) or am I wrong?
