not a real big problem everything works fine but its a little annoying. this is what my hem icon looks like...



deleting this shortcut then c+p another one from programs doesn't work. neither does reinstalling the program. also when I right click and click properties and go to change icon the hem icon is there and is selected, but when I click apply nothing changes.

the problem is ... why holdemmanager.exe file is losing its icon identity?
I am afraid of a sort of malware

I had something similar too. After every HEM update the icon in the quick launch bar disappeared and just creating a new shortcut or re-assign the icon doesn't help .
A reboot solves the issue for me tho.

Make sure you got every win update, especially those for the .net framework.

I'm having this problem too. Anyone know how to fix it?

Rebuild the Icon Cache Database and check if it helps.
a. Close all folder windows that are currently open.
b. Launch Task Manager using the CTRL+SHIFT+ESC key sequence, or right click on taskbar and click on "Start Task manager".
c. In the Process tab, right-click on the Explorer.exe process and select End Process.
d. Click the End process button when asked for confirmation.
e. From the File menu of Task Manager, select New Task (Run).
f. Type "cmd.exe" (without quotes), and click OK.
g. In the command prompt window, type the commands one by one and press ENTER after each command:
CD /d %userprofile%\AppData\Local
DEL IconCache.db /a
EXIT
h. In Task Manager, click File, select New Task (Run).
i. Type "explorer.exe" (without quotes), and click OK.
j. Check if the issue is fixed.

I just changed my icon twice and i could revert back to the HEM icon O_o
