Hi

i deleted a folder containing wedding photos and videos off my pc

dont know how or when i did it is it impossible to restore?are they completely gone?

if i type the name of the folder in my search bar it finds the folder but wont open and says "the item "Weddings vids" that this shortcut refers to has been changed or removed,so this shortcut will no longer work properly
Do you want to delete the shortcut"

im not holding my breathe but i seem to remember from somewhere someone saying things are never completely deleted

No idea whether the website mentioned in that video is legit. Download/install/use Recuva, instead.

If at all possible do not use your hard drive at all in the meantime. If you're using that machine to post here you're not helping yourself.

had already just tried the 1st link :/ it found some old stuff from a few weeks ago but nothing i was looking for thanks for link all the same

i found some of the pics i wanted but im having problems restoring them

something about not restoring to same drive.

so i save to "computer" only one it doesnt say about same drive but then i cant locate them or search them

will try again later it takes a while to it (deep scan)

You want to save them to an external drive. The pointers to the files no longer exist, so the drive sees them as free space. If you start saving the recovered files to the drive they used to exist on then you may overwrite them and corrupt whatever is left.

can i use a usb stick data storage as an external drive?
