Damaged Monitor? Damaged Monitor?

Hi,

I just turned on my computer after being away from a few days, and it appears my 30' Dell monitor has decided to break.

When it starts up, it has vertical lines/blurred colours taking up the bottom 1/3rd of the screen. While its on, this is almost always there, but occasionally it flickers into my actual screen and i can move my mouse visibly on that area (and sometimes it just reshows what the upper part of the monitor is showing.

I've checked for loose/damaged connections, tried using a different DVI cable (although to the same PC - i don't have a second one), updated video drivers and reset monitor to factory settings and nothing has fixed it.

Currently now is the best its been since it broke - showing just thin vertical lines over that bottom 1/3rd, but every so often will just revert back to the solid colour/lines in the first pic.

Has my monitor just finally had it (is several years old) or is there anything I can do to try to fix this?

Thanks

Have you had any BSODs? Can be the GPU as well, altho it seems more of a screen issue

No BSOD or anything else unusual other than the monitor blurred lines

I have a second 20' running off the same computer thats fine and the cable from the 30' has been tested on that (so its almost certainly an issue with the monitor)
