If you're looking at 2560 x 1440 27" monitors like the Dell U2711 this post has links to screenshots with 6, 9, 12, 15 and 20 tables tiled on one.

Re: >clickity-click< (NC thread 0.0.1a)

SuperAntiSpyware detects a rootkit on my Win 7 x64 box on which Postgresql 9.0.4 x64 is installed. I am thinking this is a false positive. Can anybody confirm/refute? (If it turns out it is not a false positive, I'll open up a thread.)

The detection is:

Rootkit.Agent/Gen (1 item found)

C:\Program Files\Postgresql\9.0\Data\PG_SUBTRANS\0000

The detection comes from the latest version of SAS (5.0.1188). Rules databases are fully up-to-date as well.

Yea, wanted to but it didn't come with a disk and I wasn't quite sure how to make one. Ended up uninstalling a lot of the programs manually.

Thinking about just putting ubuntu on this computre. I'm only moderately computer-savvy, but I've got an old computer to experiment a bit on before I try it on the new one. One thing I'm worried about is when poker is legalized in the US; the software would be a pain to run from what I've heard. Any other major drawbacks I need to know about? Most of the programs I've got are opensource anyways so I doubt I'll be losing much funnctionality.

Ubuntu 11.04 here. PS ran perfectly. Starting about 6 months pre-black Friday, FTP would shut down after an hour. I assumed it was a WINE problem but never did figure out what the issue was.

Back when I tried to use Wine with FTP, the crashes had something to do with the default audio driver that Wine used. Once I switched to an older one, it worked just fine.

Note that I haven't used either FTP nor Wine in quite some time so things might be a bit different, but I would put money (not much) on fixing this sound driver issue at least improving your client stability.

Re: >clickity-click< (NC thread 0.0.1a)

i used wubi to put Ubuntu on my old computer and it's pretty damn cool, i think i'm going to expand it to it's own partition. if i can manage to do this without breaking it i'll be doing it to the new computer as well.

Re: >clickity-click< (NC thread 0.0.1a)

I'm thinking about buying the Kingston HyperX SSD 120GB and got a couple questions:

- Will it fully function on my Gigabyte GA-870A-UD3 motherboard? CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1055T, Memory: Corsair PC3-10700H 2x 2GB
- Is there a better alternative? Is the 240 GB version much better?

This is mainly for HEM / PostgreSQL.

Re: >clickity-click< (NC thread 0.0.1a)

Question for iTunes users, I just started using it again but I can't figure out if this is possible.

I subscribed to some podcasts, and the past shows are highlighted light gray which is good when I want to go back download and listen. Anyway is there a way to have the downloaded podcasts at the top of the list above the grayed out ones? in order?

Example: Podcast has 300 total shows.
-Episode 300 (downloaded automatically)
-Episode 299-1 (grayed out)
-Went back to download show 176 (remains between 175 and 177)
-I want 176 under 300 and the rest grayed out.

Re: >clickity-click< (NC thread 0.0.1a)

Thoughts on current-gen routers?

My poor college student ass was looking at picking up the e1200 from Linksys. I haven't used Linksys for a long time, thought they were pretty crappy even after Cisco took over. But my d-link experiences of late have just been terrible to the point of forcing me to look at the current market.

What are people using that's reliable these days for wifi?

Re: >clickity-click< (NC thread 0.0.1a)

Doubtful. Quite doubtful. It uses a Mini Display Port. But that is a good price.
