I keep reading how chromebook cannot get a virus since the anti-virus is baked into the OS. But lately I'm getting these "redirect" viruses(?) not only on the chromebook but also in Chrome on my laptop. Can a virus come through the laptop version of Chrome them to Chromebook via the linkage Chrome has across all devices?

the other thing is now I also get a lot of adware - it's like Ad Block is not effective anymore
