right now I have no default browser, yet chrome THINKS it the default browser

in order to set chrome as my default browser (or so i think) i need to run it as admin and then click set as default

HOWEVER

when i run chrome as admin it doesnt start

HALP

havnt been able to fix this yet

i reinstalled firefox and set it back to my default browser until i get this fixed HOWEVER

this is really weird but my default browser is not the firefox that im using, its some obscure version with none of my addons and all default settings, its really bizarre

when i open firefox normally all my addons and everything work but when i click something that uses what my default browser is it bring up the weird version of firefox with no addons and all the default settings, its ugly as all hell also

so not only can i not get chrome to be my default browser but i cant get firefox to be either, what the?

In win7:

Start - Control Panel - Programs - Default Programs - Set Default Programs

now it says firefox has 0 defaults and it says chrome has all defaults but it still isnt using chrome as default
