Can't get my taskbar to go back to normal?

I unlocked it and made it bigger, and now it will not drag back all the way down to normal size. Anyone know how to fix this?

Right-click an empty part of the taskbar and if 'lock taskbar' is ticked, untick it.
Or select 'properties' and have a look at the options selected if taskbar already unlocked.

thanks but its unlocked I can move it around, make it bigger etc. It will only go back to the 2nd smallest size now and I cant get it to go all the way back down

OK sorry, when your taskbar is bigger than 1 line you can drag the program bit away from quicklaunch. Are your taskbar program entries (IE, firefox whatever) directly above or below quicklaunch entries?
If so you can grab the taskbar bit (the little dots where the cursor changes to a double-sided horitontal arrow) and drag it up/down so it is on the same row as everything else.

im running vista if that matters, but yea the quick launch and my windows are side by side not underneath like in your picture
