I would like to digitize several hundreds of documents and reciepts without buying a scanner.

there are several smartphone apps that improve document-shots:

but the quality with my galaxy s smartphone camera is not acceptable at all.

do you guys know any PC-software that does the same with my document-photos on my PC?

Interesting software there. i guess thats only for Iphones.
So you're looking for a software to transform paperdocuments taken from a camera to pdf like documents...Why not buy a flatbed scanner? Or is the main purpose to like: I have a receipt in my hand, need to digitize it on the fly, cant wait 'till I get home (where my scanner is), must have proper digital document,now! (?)

Yeah, I want to use it on the go. Unfortunately, I flatbed is not an option for me.

The software also exists for android, but the image quality of my Samsung galaxy s phone camera isn't really good enough for A4 scans. My dedicated photocameraphotocamera shoots much higher resolution pictures.

I don't understand what you want to do? Why not just use a digital camera to take photos of documents and then crop the images using basic photo software?

thats exactly the problem.
unless you use a tripod, you always have slightly angled photos, which you can't just crop. with just cropping, the final documents look very weird.

so i need software to correct the angled perspective. can any photo editing software do that?

Have you considered taking high-res images with the digital camera and then transferring the photos to your iphone to edit them?

I don't know of any PC software that can do this automatically. Photoshop/Gimp can do it, but only manually.

If it don't find an PC software for this, it might transfer the pictures to my phone... but it would be a pain in the ass.
I found a mac program for this, but called prizmo. There has to be something like this for PC.

With which tool can i do this in gimp?

I did a search for "prizmo pc equivalent" and snapter by aziz came up. Not sure how good it is, there is a download link on cnet.

Snapter has been discontinued by the authors... you can't buy it anywhere.
