Serious question...A friend is bankrolling me on Bovada for 5/10NL, 10/20NL, 5/10PLO, 10/20PLO. Since I started playing, I've seen a lot of very strange behavior.
For instance, getting called down by J2 on a 10K4-7-2 board when I triple barrelled in position vs a 110bb stack in the BB with a 100% fold to CBet after 140 hands...Having an extremely tight image at a certain table, then getting snapped off everytime I bluff by A-high types of hands...Being min-raised on the river multiple times after I've repped huge hands, yet getting zero action when I have a monster and play it exactly the same way. Sometimes it really "feels" like they can see my cards. It's gotten kind of spooky.
Don't get me wrong - I get that this is supposed to happen sometimes, but the frequency has been astounding. I would just chalk it up to really good, or really bad play on my opponents' part, but the sheer volume of occurences has me questioning what is going on. I've played literally millions of hands online. I know what running below EV for tens of thousands of hands looks and feels like. This seems different. I plan on uploading some HH's later when I dig them out of HM2 after I use the hand converter software. Not that such a small sample size would prove much.
Also, since I started playing on Bovada again a few weeks ago, my gmail has been hacked twice. Both times the person sent emails to bovada support. I don't know what they asked though...
I'm running malwarebytes and windows defender. I just started using a VPN service.
Is it possible that my computer has become compromised and someone is spying on my play?
It's been so strange that I actually ordered a brand new computer today and plan to use it solely for Bovada (No torrent downloading, no going to potentially sketchy websites, etc.). I plan on loading it up with virus and malware protection.
Other possibilities I'm considering - Is Holdem Indicator and Bovada Card Catcher safe and reputable? I just want to explore all options.
I've checked this thread:
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/48...puter+security but it seems to be a bit out of date.
Has anyone else experienced something similar on Bovada? Am I just being a paranoid idiot?
I know that most will call me a rigtard and move on. However, if I could get a few helpful responses, that would be really appreciated.
TL;DR - Weird things have been happening on Bovada, could someone be watching my holecards due to an insecure computer or internet connection?
