Not sure what just happened computer froze, went black thne came up with bluescreen and physical dump etc, shut it down before it finished cause i wasnt sure what else to do.

Which version of Windows are you running? Vista, 7, XP? Also could you post the file contents of the .dmp file you referred to?

It would be helpful to know if you have installed any new hardware or software or ran any updates.

If not, this is probably either bad disk sectors or corrupt registry

It would help to have the OP post the .dmp file contents. BSODs can be hard to narrow down without knowing what was going on behind the scenes.
