I want to get some sort of landline so I can talk to clients without giving them my cellphone number. I've heard that VOIP is the way to go. Ideally, I would want the following:
- Designated phone number
- Answering service that transcribes voice mails as text messages
- Can hook into my headphones / microphone on my computer.
- Minimal costs (if possible, I don't mind paying something like $20 a month but free is always better).
Any suggestions? Would Google voice work? Should I just buy Vonage? Or are there other services that might be better suited?
Would appreciate any input! Thanks.
