Avira is probably the best free antivirus in terms of performance. Bitdefender has recently been compromised and leaked many peoples passwords. And AVG is now selling your browsing history to advertisers to profit from there free anti virus.

Yeah, you have to have an e-mail address+password to create some useless account

I'm not even going to bother changing the password, they can do absolutely nothing with that info, it is not a pw I repeat anywhere else

AVG going adware is not something that surprises me. Also Avira has its own toolbar, i think?

Anyway, passwords being cracked so now and then of legit services is one of the reasons to make sure you manage your passwords appropriately and do not repeat passwords ever.
