Hi. I'm using macbook and lately skype isn't working. I have tried downloading different versions already but still unsuccessful. Would you know the possible reason? Compatibility issue? I just need it badly coz I am entitled to work from home for 2 days but I have to stay online for any meetings and consultation. If you know how to troubleshoot or suggest any alternatives, I'll definitely appreciate. Thanks.

Skype for Mac works fine for me.

You're fortunate that you are not having any issues. If that is the case, then the problem could be the connection I supposed? Anyway, the thing is, I cannot afford any hiccups just because Skype does not work. I am currently looking into a compatible video conferencing equipment that can address my issues. Next thing though is the cost!!!

I heard before that some are having issues using Skype on Mac, I thought it was already resolved. but you may want to try and repair the problem by following these steps:

Quit Skype.
Navigate to ~/Library/Application Support/Skype/ (~ refers to your Home directory).
Locate the file shared.xml, and delete it.
Launch Skype again.

Upon relaunch, Skype will generate a new version of the XML file.
