AVG update keeps asking for restart
 

So I updated my AVG Anti-Virus Free edition but it keeps asking me to restart the computer to complete updates. I restart and right away it asks me to restart again. I'm running XP on a desktop. ARGH. Any ideas?

Also, each time I open up google chrome I get the message "Confirm Change: The Extension 'AVG not track' has been installed." (Don't think this is any big deal but who knows).

The current status of AVG updater is "The update needs restart." I have no idea if this is causing a security risk other than the "!" on my AVG icon. Please help!

Update: OK, apparently I'm supposed to uninstall AVG following the instructions at this site: http://forums.avg.com/ww-en/avg-foru...show&id=171231
and then reinstall. Instructions are slightly more techy then I was hoping for right before going to bed so I'll tackle it tomorrow and cry for more help here if/when I encounter the troubles. :)
