What, Haswell? That's probably a year out and then some, and it's way too early to know if it's any good.
Possible cons:
- The 670m is nice but basically a rebranded 570m, and the GTX 680M just launched Monday night. And if it's near as good as it looks on paper it's the only one you want in a rig of this cost today. Well that or the 7970m which is cheaper.
- It's going to be loud and/or hot.
- Needs a solid state... okay, you don't "need" one for a gaming system, but a slow 7,200 rpm drive would seem a bit out of place with all of the high-end stuff in there. Not to mention heat.
- 16GB RAM is burning money a bit in a gaming system.
- I know you said you don't care about weight, but damn. Any more and you might as well just glue a monitor to a desktop case and call it a laptop.
