Synergy used to be the coolest free utility in the world, but I now don't use it anymore because I've found it nowhere near as reliable when both PCs are online via wifi rather than wired ethernet cables (and hardly any computers have wired ports anymore.) Scrolling from one monitor over to the other is usually choppy at best, and controlling the secondary PC is never as smooth as the primary.

Are there any more reliable options out there? I'd even take some kind of hardware-based solution.

Follow-up: FWIW I googled and found Microsoft's "Mouse Without Borders", which appears to be essentially a Synergy clone, but using it reminded me exactly of why I never went back to Synergy: the experience is the same > mouse scrolling on the remote machine is quite laggy / choppy.
I'm beginning to suspect this is simply because wifi isn't as reliable or quick a connection as wired ethernet, where the experience used to be flawless. Would be happy to be wrong about that though...

I've used Synergy for years and and been very happy but all of a sudden, its riddled with issues, crashes constantly and no longer works across all my computers.

I bought Synergy Pro a while back so I could get support but now they're saying they don't offer support to "non-enterprise users". I asked how much it cost to go enterprise and they quoted me $10,000 effectively telling me to **** off.

I've tried to use their forum but cant login and the last post I can find is from 3-15-2017, so it appears that has been shut down.

I'm guessing they're about to go belly up.

Are any other Synergy users experiencing issues recently?

Anyone out there know what the heck is going on with them all of a sudden?

I loved this program and am really disappointed its gone to **** over the last few weeks
