Accidentally running some remote desktop software?? Accidentally running some remote desktop software??

I can't figure this out.

I play poker on NJ sites and have never had a problem until today when i got an error message from all the sites telling me that I am running some sort of remote desktop software, so i am unable to play.

My computer is only used for poker and I have not downloaded anything since my last time playing, 2 days ago. I am close to 100% sure there were no updates either.

I've gone through my processes and the only thing I found that has any hint of "remote access" is something called "Remote Procedure Call" but it can't be stopped and the internet says that its a normal piece of software that needs to run.

Any advice for what programs to look for? Is there something I can post to get better advice?

Thanks

Remote procedure call is a windows system service.

You can't contact support and ask them what they found?
Have you anything installed like teamviewer, mikogo, logmein? Not that any poker site should object to that, but I dunno

I actually figured it out late last night. I had something called "pocket cloud" installed on my computer when i first got it. Apparently something caused it to be open in the background this morning and it has a remote access process.

I still have no idea how that could have happened bc I've never used it.

Also, NJ support is sooo terrible. They couldn't tell me what was causing the problem and said they would get back to me in "ASAP: a day or three or maybe more"

Fwiw, all the programs you listed are banned by NJ sites. You can have them installed but they can't be running while you are playing poker or you will be disconnected.

Thx for the response.
