i just bought a 20" monitor for portrait mode on my samsung 305t, but it seems too big and the resolution doesnt match up (its 900x1600 in portrait mode) the screen also overlaps at the top by about 3/4", i was hoping for something like this and read that a 20" would match
i did a quick search and couldnt find anything, any help?
I think that really depends on the monitors. I mean you do have the right vertical resolution, but you also need to watch for the measurements if you're worried about them matching up properly. The same resolution can be displayed on different sized monitors. You can look around either for this model or an equivalent with 1600x1200 resolution. Monitors with a 4:3 aspect ratio are a bit out of style currently, but I'm still rocking two SyncMaster 204Bs that I bought a while ago, because they are great for poker.
It needs to be 1600x1200 and the 204B is correct. Bobo and I both had them back in the day. I'd assume other displays of the same size that will rotate work too.
The 204T is a better fit as I mentioned, because it is from the same series, but I'm pretty sure the 204B and T are the same size.
You don't want a widescreen monitor, you want 4:3 aspect ratio not 16:9.
