Good laptop for Ignition? Good laptop for Ignition?

02-06-2017 , 11:12 AM
Hey guys. I'll be traveling around a bit in the near future, so need to invest in a laptop to continue grinding on Ignition. I normally play from an iMac at home, but am thinking of going to a Windows computer because there are a lot of poker programs that I like that simply don't work on Mac. My question is how powerful of a laptop does one need to 4-table on Ignition without any problems? I was looking into a "Dell Inspiron 17-5755" that is pretty cost-efficient. I will only be using it for poker, so figured I don't need to buy anything too extravagant. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Nick

I have read other threads. I am asking about that computer in particular. Thank you for your valuable input.

You could at least post a link and the specs if you're asking about a particular machine.

seems horribly imbalanced. 12gb is kind of a lol number, going amd can rarely be right, i don't know if that cpu has integrated graphics capabilities, but if it does, you don't need one with whatever r5 that claims to be, it really has a 5400rpm hard drive?

Honestly, I don't know a whole lot of what you're speaking about which is why I made this thread. Will a computer with these specs be able to run ignition smoothly? Thanks for your help.

You've been able to run poker sites smoothly on a mobile phone for years. Any PC made in the last decade will. It only becomes an issue when you want to use external tools you can't live without.

Okay. So hypothetically speaking, if I am running card catcher and PT4 along with Ignition, it may not work on this particular computer? Thanks again for all your help.
