Got to agree with fidstar. Gays have only recently come into the PC protected space broadly enough to encompass sports. Even Phil Jackson's reference to a loss to the Spurs as a "Brokeback Mountain game with lots of penetration and kick outs", which doesn't seem particularly offensive and made a lot of people laugh, resulted in his being reprimanded and his issuing a public apology. That was 2007. I don't think Phil would even think about saying something like that now.
