1-He was describing his elimination from a Pot Limit WSOP Tourney.

2- Besides being a great poker player, he is also an excellent prolific writer.

You aren't going to have an unbiased view of yourself no matter what you do. Self-serving cognitive biases are useful. No point in doing the thinky thinky stuff unless it is useful.

Of course, it is better if you dgaf instead. Much more healthy, but that only comes with age.
