Do I understand you right, that if we were to find a planet with very similiar conditions, the "intelligent" ETs would have to look similiar to us?

While on a planet with different conditions (one where we would say nowadays couldnt allow life, for example), ETs could be literally anything?

No you do not understand me correctly.

I was using the word terrestrial to me 'indigenous to Earth', not 'indigenous to an Earth like planet'.
