Yes I've been searching all over for that show. I haven't found one that will work for Canada.

Sapolsky's course was by far my favorite at Stanford. Lectures were always packed and you were on the edge of your seat for the whole 90 minutes. Amazingly enough, he's actually very approachable outside of class as well. He has a book called "Why Zebras Don't Get Ulcers" that you might like.

How the Universe Began

"There is strong evidence that the entire Universe sprang from sub-atomic dimensions 13.7 billion years ago in a violent event known as Inflation, but we understand almost nothing of what would have caused this to happen. Scientists around the world are now racing to find important clues in the Cosmic Microwave Background, the faint relic of the primeval fireball that filled the early Universe."

Have not watched whole thing but sounds interesting.

I love those Berkeley webcasts...I wish they'd put more out there.

Does anyone else feel that TED has fallen off alot lately? It seems alot more pop science and opinion or life story lectures. Have there been any really good TED lectures lately? I might have just missed them.

I've only followed it for about 6 months now but from I've seen from the archieves and other videos, I haven't been impressed lately.

I don't enjoy (so I don't watch) all the life storys of whoever from Africa. I don't enjoy the music stuff or the more artistic design things either.

I enjoy the more tech or science focused videos and I enjoy the stuff that is on the cutting edge.

I watched my first live TEDx webcast a few nights ago from San Fran and I was very dissapointed.

There are two today (like right now) that I'll have on:

TEDxNASA

and

TEDxAmsterdam

The Nasa event is about to start in 30 minutes and I the Amsterdam one might currently be running...though, I'm not sure.

I found this to be cool but it's probably to basic for most of the posters in this thread.

edit: but the guy is so funny that it's still worth watching
