Saw somebody asking for this in another thread, and I've been meaning to do it for a while. Put your favorite videos ITT.

Rules For Posting Links

1. Clearly label the video you're posting by either changing the title of the hyperlink, or putting the title next to the link (in quotes or italics or something).

2. Include a short description of what the video is about. Be sure to mention if it's NSFW or something freaky/scary/disturbing to avoid any potential problems.

That's it. Let's go...

My overall favorite that has been posted here twice already:

Hubble Deep Field: The Most Important Image Ever Taken

A video that demonstrates, in laymen's terms, how big the universe really is.

Theist vs. Atheist debate between Hassanain Rajabali & Michael Corey (theists) and Dan Barker & Richard Carrier (atheists) that took place on May, 2004 at The Tawheed Institute in New York. Disclaimer: It's over 3 hours long!

Does God Not Exist? 2 (Part 1/4)
Does God Not Exist? 2 (Part 2/4)
Does God Not Exist? 2 (Part 3/4)
Does God Not Exist? 2 (Part 4/4)

You might want to fast forward to 15:14 in the first video to skip the Muslim prayer ceremonies.

My favorite part is when Richard asks Michael for a source on something controversial and Michael says "I read it."

Talks Joshua Klein: The amazing intelligence of crows

Another poster posted this earlier, and I think it was a remarkable video. Awesome and innovative. Maybe in the future we could find alot of new uses for human-animal symbiosis.

God watching those Theism/Atheism debates right now, can I somehow get myself on one of these because seriously this **** is like softball, he just whipped out Zeno's paradox are you serious.

Oh cool he just claimed the atheists (and he really means materialists) are question begging and he did it by the most famous false dichotomy, cool work in logical fallacies there man.

Thanks dude keep telling me what the only way i can make sense of things is, very persuasive.

Ugh the first atheist guys sucks just as bad this is tilting.

A rather good Prada commercial by Jordan and Ridley Scott (Alien, Blade Runner, Gladiator) with excerpts from a text that was found among a collection of early Christian writings at Nag Hammadi, Egypt, in 1945.

Truly bizarre. For those that don't know, Witten's only undergrad degree is a BA in history. He tried a few random things after undergrad, eventually quit and decided to do math at princeton. I'm not 100% sure how he even got in. I'm sure he had perfect tests scores and maybe took some grad level math classes, but that alone is no where near enough. Admssions are very competitive and a ton of smart kids with a BS in physics/math from harvard/MIT etc don't get in every year. I am guessing that Witten is just one of those people (maybe the only one? ) who you can have a five minute conversation on any technical topic and come away knowing that he very well could be on a completely different level than everybody else.

At Princeton, he switched to physics very soon and within a year was producing highly original results that were interesting both mathematically and physically. From that point on (nearly a 30 year stretch) he has been the dominant figure in theoretical physics with no equals. Looking at his work only in terms of math, he would easily be one of the top 10 mathematicians in the world and with a strong case for being even higher.

How he almost didn't go into math/physics is crazy. Perhaps he was just that good at everything so he never realized his special talents in physics .

stories like that always make me reevaluate what it takes to be great in a given field. every time i think i have an idea of what causes the giants to be giants i hear about something like that
