Just started playing some online poker again after barely playing at all over the last year and a half. Figured the games would be much harder than they used to be. Thus far, they are just very different, but at least at the stakes I'm playing, I wouldnt exactly say they were unbeatable or anything. Also nice to start off running hot. But jesus, I thought the 8/16 game at Canterbury was a LAGfest. The 5/10 and 10/20 FL games on Stars are ridiculous.

Winning strategy: never, ever ever ever bluff. Never, ever ever ever stop betting/raising. Monies.

Epic fail today. Grapefruit juice and water all day. Fortunately I took the precaution of not owning any sunglasses.

I was hoping that I would get a good story in here tonight after I came home from my friend's birfday party; unfortunately all she had was Smirnoff and Yuengling. I don't like Yuengling that much and I'm not drinking something as silly as Smirnoff for an Internet thread. Result: one Yuengling total.

funny situation where i got severely outplayed the other night. i was out for birthday drinks and this guy for some reason decided to try to stand on the table we were sitting at.

knocks my drink over, so i stare at him for like 5 seconds, i say 'you're gonna buy me a drink'. the guy insta hands me a twenty, i go to the bar (packed to the rafters by this point), come back over and as i hand him his change, he snatches the drink out of my hand. OWNED.

needless to say, im no fighter and had enough of that pub, so we went elsewhere. oh, then at the next pub i slap a chicks backside, find out later shes married. lol. good times!

So I go under the knife tomorrow so to speak. Surgery on my right knee to correct a torn medial tendon (from skiing) and have the doctor clean out rough spots and/or spurs under the knee cap. Disappointing news, to me anyway, is that I have osteoarthritis (age related) in the right knee and there is at present no real fix for that.

The Doctor is a specialist and the staff very competent and capable. Modern medicine is great. I have had surgery before to correct damage to my thumb (from another skiing accident) and have had no problems or complications. Far cry from the witch doctor days, or having a shaman blow smoke into your face and dance about a fire to heal your aliments.

If I die tomorrow, I will blame Madnak. He will have to take over as mod.

Surgery went very well and not as much damage as thought, really no osteoarthritis, that is good news. So far no real pain and just keeping the leg elevated and iced. Good time to catch up on reading and watching baseball games. Get to be lazy for a few days. Surgery only last 40 minutes but the preliminaries are staggering - A whole ream of paperwork on various clipboards. I forgot how many different papers I had to sign over and over right up to time they wheeled me into the OR. I blame the lawyers.

For all those praying for my death - to bad. I'm still alive and kicking and all that much more ready to annoy the world. For those that wished me well thanks. Go drink a tall stiff one on me.

haha na, i quit smoken about 6months ago and dont trust myself to start again. Im flying my mom to paris on the 4th so im just waiting around for that now. Bruges is amazing though... im having a great time here. Mostly finding beautiful places to sit and listen to philosophy audio books and write ideas in a notebook. Belgium is the first place (out of italy, france, spain) i have seen so far that has greesey food and fat people! lol
