The difference between traveling into the past and the future is the following:

1. Travel back, and you'll mess up everything happening after the earliest date you visit

2. Travel forward, and you'll mess up everything ever

To me the most tilting thing would not be having to see the signature but having to manually put it every time if that is the case lol!

Why does it matter if one signs? We know who it is anyway. It is just a part of the text like the other letters without any extra information added to the content. I would add it only if a particular post i made was meant to be a signature core of beliefs declaration or something profound that would deserve distinction from other posts of mine like taking a stand in time on an issue or whatever lol. But who cares really.

The more interesting thing is to ask what a signature wins for the one using it lol given that the name on the left is the real signature anyway.

I would never ask others to not use it though because its no big deal if they see it fit anyway as it belongs to their choice of text form anyway and it takes little effort to see it and not think anything bad about it. There is nothing especially wrong with it. Its a style choice.

I would like to know where it came from though (the screen-name). Wasnt it something that Johnny Chan used to say? What is its meaning other than to try to make the board scarier or defeat some flush or straight as scarier hands (opening bluff possibilities or even reducing chances one has the trips or better now? like say a second Ace is comforting sometimes or pairs help remove kicker issues etc lol) .

I would never presume to try and enforce any kind of forum rule, unspoken or not, on you or any other good poster. I personally think signatures are redundant and silly, and I'm definitely not above some good-natured abuse on this front. And I understand some degree of tradition. But what exactly is the point of a signature? We know who you are from the top of every post and it is a very very slight imposition that you force upon others by leaving it there. In the same vein, I've likely suggested to masque that he edit his posts for brevity a little more. In my case, I should be a bit less didactic and snarky.

I haven't watched the telly that often since getting broadband. I assumed 'Breaking Bad' was a typical crime drama that was over hyped like 'The Sopranos'. I was wrong. Binge watched all 5 seasons.

Crime drama yes, but lots of black comedy thrown in that I wasn't expecting.

edit: I can't remember my password or the password to the email addy I used to sign up with, but if you don't care, then I don't care.

The future of privacy is scaring the hell out of me. I remember it used to be a case of clearing the internet history in your browser and you were good. Now everything is synced to browsers across devices and history is stored on their servers. Not to mention everywhere you go being tracked and IoT taking off.

It will be become so difficult to stay on top of, that we will eventually stop caring and just admit we're a bunch of dorks in the privacy of our own homes.
