Interesting that this information came up just as I was reading the section in the Churchill book about the very contentious events leading up to granting home rule for Ireland in the early 1920's. Winston had a hand in this adventurous political turmoil. If you brits had started an early sterilization program on the Irish, much bloodshed and overall ill will could have been avoid. And the world would be rid of the Irish. Some would think this an overall plus for humanity. I have no personal comment.

We breed fast enough that a sterilization program would bankrupt the world. Plus, the Scots would move in and become Irish, as they are apt to do.
