i do think there is sometimes a highly specific physical or mental reason for an athlete that is freakishly good at their sport or certain aspects of their sport.
brazilian player who was one of all-time best at set plays had a crooked leg.
rory mcilroy with incredibly fast hips.
wayne gretzky - brain processes visual info very quickly.. this one is a bit murky although if you've seen wayne do any other sports he doesn't seem wildly athletic so it makes sense.

I have lucid dreams regularly and I highly recommend them. In the middle of one I knew that I was dreaming but it was so realistic that I decided to tell one of the characters who worked for me to do something and asked him the next day if he did it. Too bad that didn't work or I'd go into the Guru business.

My woman loves when I say that I am mad at her because of something she did in one of my dreams. She usually explains that it wasn't really her. I explain that what she did in the dream is the sort of thing she would do and that punishment only partially about revenge, but is more about changing one's character, so the punishment stands. She then apologizes and promises to do better next time which makes all well.
