With all of the clamouring of math classes, I could easily lead a study group to learn calculus 1-3. I would incorporate a fair amount of analysis to spice things up for people who have gone through it at a freshmen level. I think doing a quantum or numerical analysis type discussion would be the best utilization of my skills.

Conceptual question:

If the speed of light were 1/10th its current rate, how would the way we perceive a sunrise change*, if at all?

* Only changes related to the way the sun "looks." Not purely temporal changes (e.g., the sunrise occurring later since light will take 10x longer to reach earth).

A logical statement of the form if A then B is true if A and B are both false. So, for example, it is true to say that the moon is made of cheese if you can travel faster than light.

What's a good example of a statement like this in real life where A and B are both demonstrably false, impossible even, but the truth of if A then B is meaningful and useful?

It sounds about how you're expect an audio clip from Saturn to sound, but I still thought it was pretty cool to hear sound that originated so far out there.
