I don't understand the criticism. Would you also say it's a complete waste of time, effort, and imagination? Or just wealth? I don't get it.

Obviously I understand that you don't like the idea or aesthetic or whatever. But it seems bizarre to say the people involved are "wasting" their time, effort, imagination, etc.

I'm saying the project as such is a waste of wealth. I'm saying it doesn't do any good. It's a boondoggle. So I'm saying people won't be willing to pay for this.

If you design a roller coaster to the moon that can be constructed (no matter the financing), then you're a god.

Sorry, misread. Since there's nobody on the moon to ride your roller coaster, I agree it would be a waste.

If they can find legitimate voluntary funding, then I would have far less to object to. It's still possible that people would fund it because they are crazed by the Olympics, which itself is a government sponsored project, so it still wouldn't be quite fair. Maybe if they didn't have the Olympics, then people would have some more money left over with which they could fund some modernistic attraction.

Idk seems pretty cool to me. But I guess I'm not entirely sure how well it works or to what degree of awe it will inspire close-up, so it's hard to tell if it's actually "worth it".

GENEVA (AFP) — A giant inflatable dog turd by American artist Paul McCarthy blew away from an exhibition in the garden of a Swiss museum, bringing down a power line and breaking a greenhouse window before it landed again, the museum said Monday.

The art work, titled "Complex S(expletive..)", is the size of a house. The wind carried it 200 metres (yards) from the Paul Klee Centre in Berne before it fell back to Earth in the grounds of a children's home, said museum director Juri Steiner.

The inflatable turd broke the window at the children's home when it blew away on the night of July 31, Steiner said. The art work has a safety system which normally makes it deflate when there is a storm, but this did not work when it blew away.

A passer-by had complained last October about seeing the woman topless.

When a sheriff's deputy went to investigate the woman went to the back of the stand, took off the pasties and put on a bikini top.

The News Tribune of Tacoma reported the deputy confiscated the pasties as evidence."
