Re: The politarding thread of SMP, for really really really sorting things out

romania-protests-enter-13th-day-with-calls-for-government-of-thieves-to-resign

The people blubber; few listen, few care, and even fewer are drinking enough, and everyone has a phone (from above link):

The demonstrations, the largest since the ousting and summary execution of communist dictator Nicolae Ceausescu in 1989, have continued despite the resignation on Thursday of justice minister Florin Iordache.

“The justice minister’s resignation isn’t enough after what they tried to do,” said Tofan.

Another demonstrator also said he had completely lost faith in the government.

“We want this government to stand down. We don’t trust it, they want us to go backwards,” said Bogdan Moldovan, a doctor.

Romania joined the European Union in 2007 and Brussels has long taken Bucharest to task over slow progress dealing with corruption and organized crime.

*******************************************

Corruption and Organized Crime is very useful. Disorganized crime is not efficient, wastes a lot of energy, and puts an extra burden on the Criminal Justice System, so called.

Antiestablishmentarianism is making a great comeback, so I heard.

Rumors, though, may lead to trouble.

Such as Disenfranchisement.

Or Alienation(which maybe caused by using the internet, according to a rumor).

Or was that Humour?

I congratulate SMP for the deepest thinkers on the internets. This thread most certainly has reached the very bottom of the political barrel.

The e-mails indicated that members of the "brigades" were paid 85 rubles (about 3 US dollars) or more per comment, depending on whether the comment received replies. Some were paid as much as 600,000 roubles (about US $21,000) for leaving hundreds of comments on negative press articles on the internet, and were presented with iPads. A number of high-profile bloggers were also mentioned as being paid for promoting Nashi and government activities. The Federal Youth Agency, whose head (and the former leader of Nashi) Vasily Yakemenko was the highest-ranking individual targeted by the leaks, refused to comment on authenticity of the e-mails.[13][16]

Most importantly, they got Trump voted, he even admits that himself.

Thanks, Putin. Thanks very much indeed.

SMP will soon punch through that bottom and descend into territory hitherto unknown and untested, and unleash a firestorm that only scientists/math nerds/pustulent philosophers are capable of. This vanguard of messiahs and prophets will forge the idealogical frontier for the new world order that we, and we alone, are competent enough to understand and establish. Our enemies, the vast hordes of LLL, SJW'ers, Socialist, Crybabies, Tories, Fascists, Trotskyists, Marxists, Popes, Archbishops, Futurists, and other associated retards, morons, and idiots, will fall like a cascading line of dominoes.

All hail the scientific society!

At least I admit I'm not perfect, not even nearly so. Socrates saying he knew nothing is something to think about. Especially for some of the Trump supporters.

That's a good place to start. Really everything and anything available about human character is worthwhile to investigate for those following any terrible living or historic examples of human character.

I would I say I have far more doubt in my positions than anyone who strongly argues against me.

How much doubt do you think Trolly has that his views of racism/bigotry/the probable results of various courses of actions are correct?

The rabid zeal and moral certainty is all on the left these days. It's why Trump won. Most people who voted for him subscribe to precisely the worldview you just espoused. It's the election in a nutshell. The battle was between Trump and people who are so certain they are morally, intellectually and practically correct, they ram it down your thought with zero humor or self awareness or even the barest hint that they understand the broadness of philosophy or the wisdom of the unconventional. Trump won that battle.

I am fairly sure this is untrue. He was elected by farmers, people whose job skills mostly involve the ability to push a broom around and religious folk.

Not exactly the sort of people known for having a nuanced or uncertain world-view.

Again, this is a persistent myth. Putting aside your hilarious 1890s view of what farmers do, I don't blame you for holding that belief with fake news networks, fake news reporters and lying newspapers pushing this myth. But the truth is that Trump voters are wealthier than Clinton voters:
Quote:
Of the one in three Americans who earn less than $50,000 a year, a majority voted for Clinton. A majority of those who earn more backed Trump.
Quote:
Broken down by income bracket, 52% of voters earning less than $50,000 a year – who make up 36% of the electorate – voted for Clinton, and 41% for Trump.

But among the 64% of American voters who earn more than $50,000 a year, 49% chose Trump, and 47% Clinton.
College educated whites - which includes the largest population of swing voters, by definition full of doubt - picked Trump by a meaningful margin:
Quote:
Among college-educated whites, 45% voted for Clinton – 39% of men and 51% of women (the only white demographic represented in the poll where the former secretary of state came out on top). But 54% of male college graduates voted for Trump, as did 45% of female college graduates.
As for your comments on farmers, I suspect you don't know many. In my estimation most have more doubt about many things than New York "liberals", and certainly more doubt than the overwhelming majority of black people and Latinos that voted for Clinton, who are rusted-on Democrat voters with little nuance on politics (else they would be more split and not ~90% voting for the Democrat candidate all the time).

$50k household income isn't wealthy. It is just above dirt-poor.

From the article you quoted:

"Among non-college-educated whites, 67% voted for Trump." That part must be fake news since it doesn't agree with your assessment, right?

Based on that comment, I suspect not only that you not only haven't encountered many farmers but actually had to look up the word "farmer" in the dictionary.

Over 2/3s of Americans vote consistently along party lines. Thinking that liberals (or conservatives) aren't nuanced because their political views have some consistency is a bit silly. Thinking that any group tending to vote in one direction or another is also a silly argument for lack of nuance of their individual members.

Also, your 90% is just incorrect. From the article you posted: "Non-white voters, who make up 31% of the electorate, voted 74% for Clinton and 21% for Trump"

What does this comment have to do with anything? Is your stripper girlfriend still posting on your account? She's barely math literate.

Trump voters are, on average, wealthier than non-Trump voters. Thus your attempts to brush them off as non-nuanced broom pushers is just fake partisan politics with stripper-level statistics depth.

Trump won college educated whites. Let me repeat that again for the very slow. Trump won college educated white. Your broad brush claim that Trump voters probably aren't nuanced is just partisan bigotry; it has zero facts or even thought behind it. It's just your lower brain stem disliking people who aren't like you.

As for farmers, I'm certain I know many more than you.

I am simply disputing the extremely bizarre claim that you made.

It not only isn't true in the real world, it isn't even true based on using some argument that completely ignores that the real world exists.
