The story is 2 years old.

The creature was found under the Ross Ice shelf and not some isolated frozen lake. Interesting...but not to be confused with the drilling into Lake Vostok for instance.

+1, life is beautiful and everything but is discovering a new species not particularly distantly related to a species we already know really newsworthy? maybe it is, something that doesn't happen very often?
