Re: I do not undersatnd how to apply "synthesized happiness"

Just one more problem to solve and i can be happy
...... hang on, just one more
...... hold on, there's one more
...... hang on, just this last one
...... oops, new situation, let me get through this
...... oops, another one
...... let me get this last problem here solved, then I'll be free
...... oops, one more
...... OK, now there's two, hold on, let me handle it.
...... hang on, just this last one here.

It has nothing to do with companies (big or small). The really smart people, as you say, probably have better things to do.

Leaving aside the big or small companies amongst the hedgerows, I fully agree that the really smart people, as you say, probably have better things to do.

Most people never get life correct. Which is both good and bad for the rest of us.

The hotel could do with a good washing, but all the best places to stay always are a bit dingy, as the locals are too busy enjoying life to worry about upkeep.

Glad for you that you got a vacation in between your busy life doing things that probably don't matter on the grand scale of things.

Nah, it is all good. It is only the silly semi-smart people who have no patience who suffer a bit.

Nicely, the ending is always predictable, which simplifies things for the simpletons.

Agreed, but it is hard to apply such wisdom.

I happen to enjoy the chase, but it is the chase itself that I enjoy.

Not sure how to apply such things to others in a helpful way.

I am not sure.

Definitely not your electricity going out for a bit. That rates, at best, as a minor annoyance.

I happen to think that my son is pretty important. He can rate as a major annoyance, but he is at that age where he is supposed to be an annoyance.

The sun seems pretty important as well.

The moon too, now that I think of it, seems important. Learned a while back that it is important. Can't remember why, but it has something to do with us all not being alive but for it. Something about the tides or meteors.

Re: I do not undersatnd how to apply "synthesized happiness"

Well okay, I understand. I have been trying for the last few days to smile more often. I will report back in a few weeks/months to see if that worked.

Thanks.

Re: I do not undersatnd how to apply "synthesized happiness"

try watching the upcoming 15 days of test cricket? Really watch it, ask questions if you need to.

At some point you have to take a leap of faith.

(Sorry to keep mentioning the cricket but holy cow what an epic event is in the offing, this is the stuff of happiness)
