Libertarians are right.

Kant's conception of freedom particularly.

The details...

are freely chosen and unnecessary.

I think part of the problem is the stupid amount of "readings" I'm supposed to be doing!

Care to offer a synopsis? I've been avoiding Kant.

Our decisions are made in our souls outside of time and only appear determined to our senses, which are governed by our built-in a priori forms of sensible perception, like space and time, and built-in categories or concepts of intelligible understanding.

Kant invented the noumenal realm (outside space and time) to make room for belief in God, freedom, and immortality. His theory of freedom provided a basis for moral responsibility, without which, his deontological ethics falls on its ass.

Que the 'non-falsifiable theory' rants
....and..go!

Anything an individual can test themselves about themselves is outside the bounds of an external assertion non-falsifiable.

This is demonstrated when people repeatedly sense their being as actual even when faced with assertions it's an illusion or otherwise not there.

Also a pretty cool check against intrusive approaches towards behaviorism IMO. Awareness rocks!

So a fundamental question of this area is Am I a free-willed field of consciousness? Even a little is an affirmative answer. I Am.

It's the type of question that has new answers in each human. Why? What else could you be is a wonderful curious mystery.

Read as much as you think about what you have read. Approximately.
