My personal opinion is some people are born to do math, some are born to do science, some are born counsellors, etc.
But a lot of people get their wires crossed and think everyone has to be a pastor...but that is not necessarily true....God gives everyone different gifts in life so obviously he means them to fulfill different functions.
Most people don't realize that God loves everybody all the time because He's God and He has the built in capability to do that while a person serving God can only reach one or two or a few at a time.
Nevertheless, that is the way God chooses to work through his appointed servants...This world needs scientists and mathematicians and lawyers and nurses etc. and God of all people knows that because He gives them all the gifts and talents.
He also knows people will lead with their strengths in this world...a lot of God's servants though lead with their weaknesses because that is when they can personally feel God's strength.
This world teaches people to lead/lean on their strengths while God teaches his servant people to lead/lean on God's strength....our own is never good enough unless we've got His backing.
