If you want to piss on your own toilet seat and pay someone to clean it up, that's well and good. But when you litter, then you're forcing me and everyone else who doesn't litter to pay to clean it up. If you want to say the reason you litter is because you're lazy, or you're too stupid to know any better, then fine. But if you say you're doing it to support the litter pickers, then what you're doing is morally equivalent to theft, and you should be horsewhipped in the public square. The union of litter pickers could pay you and your ilk to litter a lot more so they earn even more revenues. If you all litter enough, I could be paying half my salary just to pick up your litter. That's about what I pay now for your litter and a host of other services that others use and I don't. That's money that I could be investing elsewhere in the economy which might create better jobs for people than picking up litter, and the prisoners in the orange jump suits could be fixing the potholes in our roads instead of picking up your trash. So don't say that you're littering because you care about the litter pickers unless you care only about the litter pickers and not anyone else.
